Car Title

Have a question, my wife bought me a classic 1972 Plymouth Duster for fathers day 2 yrs ago. Right now the car is in both our names. She hates that car, and in a divorce she would want to just sell it, besides my kids that car brings me the most joy in my life, if in divorce, before she has a chance can i put it in just my name so she can not sell it on me, would that go against me in court?

Need her to agree.....

In order to get the title completely in your name, you will most likely need her to come with you to sign it over in front of a notary.

I believe each state has their own laws regarding titles, so if you search online you should easily find out what to do or who to contact. good luck hardrockr
